Application for DENSYS Scholars Scholarships

With the support of the ERASMUS MUNDUS programme of the European Union, DENSYS currently offers scholarships for academic scholars.

Conditions for applying to DENSYS scholar scholarships

  • DENSYS scholarships will be awarded to scholars (from EU or any third-country) in accordance with the following criteria:
Scholarships can be awarded to scholars enrolled in any third-country Higher Education Institution (HEI) or in research centers who will be selected by DENSYS consortium to contribute to the joint programme within the full partner institutions. The partners are:
  • Scholars are expected to demonstrate outstanding academic and/or professional experience and bring concrete added value to the delivery of DENSYS curriculum; they have to prove their ability to enrich the curriculum by their own experience
  • Only applicants who have been accepted by DENSYS consortium according to its own specific scholars’ selection criteria are eligible for a scholarship.

Contributions

EMMC scholars holding an Erasmus Mundus scholarship must:

  • Commit themselves to actively participate in the masters course activities;
  • Spend a minimum of one week and a maximum of two months in the partner HEIs or participate to a DENSYS intensive dedicated seminar or activity of at least two days;
  • Perform teaching/research/student tutoring activities within the DENSYS consortium: Bring concrete added value to the course and students (including delivering specific lectures, leading and participating in seminars or workshops during joint sessions, monitoring and supervising student case or challenge based projects, etc.);
  • Contribute, after their visiting scholar activities, to the promotion and dissemination of the DENSYS Erasmus Mundus Programme and activities in their HEI or country of origin.

Funding

The scholarship for an individual scholar is € 320 for per day. It includes subsistence and accommodation costs during the full stay in the visited country. Inbound and outbound travels will be covered apart by the DENSYS programme.

How to Apply?

Application for scholar positions should consist of an extended Curriculum Vitae with appropriate evidence of qualifications and scholar activities and a statement of the potential contribution that the scholar should bring to DENSYS programme. They should indicate the partner country where they want to stay and in which part of the teaching programme they want to contribute (detailed programme content)

The applications will be evaluated at least four times year by the DENSYS steering committee. The evaluation criteria will be based on proven experience in the applicant and the proposed added value for DENSYS curriculum and activities.
